Movie Night at The Roosevelt Island School

It was great to see so many children and parents at the movie night on Friday, December 4th! Kids loved the popcorn and the more relaxed discipline than in a movie theater, while the adults got a chance to socialize over wonderful snacks.

It was the first time our school hosted a movie night, but surely not the last one. We've collected enough money to cover the cost of the Public Performance Site License for the entire year! Which means all future proceeds from the movie nights will be pure profit for the PTA, and will help finance more of the great in-school programs for our kids.

Let the PTA know, if you have any movie suggestions or want to help with organizing the event or donate food for it! Your donations of time, food, money, and, of course, spirit are critical. With school budget cuts a sad reality, it is more important than ever that we continue to support our school in any way we can to provide the educational environment we want for our children.
