Canned Food Drive at The Roosevelt Island School

Last year, New York City public school children collected more than 225,000 pounds of food! This fall and winter promise to be especially challenging for struggling households in New York City. From Monday, December 7th through Friday, December 11th - "Kids Can Help Week" at P.S./I.S.217. Please bring non-perishable canned goods to Ms. Lauraine in the main office. Cans will be donated to City Harvest.

Most-needed foods:
- canned fruit
- canned vegetables
- peanut butter (plustic jurs)
- mac and cheese (packaged)
- hot and cold cereal (packaged, family-sized)
