The Roosevelt Island School (P.S./I.S. 217) 1st grade classes and Class 345 enjoyed showing their masks to parents and families gathered on Friday, May 6th.  The teacher Ms. Belinda explained what the classes had done to accomplish their masks by making them using a paper-mache, and after decorating with recyclable materials and paint.
7 masks were chosen to travel to 'Littlest Learners' an exhibition of artwork created in Studio in a School, Pre-K - 2nd grade students. Congratulations to these students whose masks will be on display Tuesday, May 10th from 5-7pm, at The Gallery at 1 East 53rd Street (between 5th & Madison).  If you are in the area be sure to stop by and take a look at the beautiful art work on display!
