Today ConEdison power outage caused the loss of electric power on the northern half of the Roosevelt Island, including the school. The staff and the children were relocated, and returned back to school for the pick up at 2:50 p.m. Many families have chosen to pick up their children earlier or couldn't make it to the school today. We are truly sorry for the inconvenience it caused to the families. The power has now being restored, and the school will resume on Tuesday, May 28th, after the Memorial Day weekend.
Our International Dinner, one of the most special nights of the school year, is rapidly approaching.
If you or your child has a traditional outfit from your native country, please wear it at the dinner on June 8th.
If you would like your child to participate in our fabulous parade of many cultures please email Kim Brown, kimdbrown@gmail.com.
Also,
if you or your child would like to perform a dance or song from your
country, we would absolutely love that, as well. Past performances have
included flamenco dancing, traditional Kazakh dances and songs from
around the world.
Let us know what your talent is by emailing kimdbrown@gmail.com.
Thank you so much for helping to make this our most spectacular dinner ever!
