Weekly Update from the P.S./I.S. 217 (Roosevelt Island School) PTA

Dear PS/IS 217 Parents and Teachers Here are two important things that had been left out of this week Hawks' Happennings: Once again, our school will take part in the Thanksgiving Pie Sale Fundraiser. Last year event was an overwhelming success and we hope that you will participate again this year. As you might remember, the cakes, pies and cookies are delicious and our PTA makes a 50% profit from every item sold. Please pick up the form at school or print out the pdf. file to make your order. The cost of each item is $15.00. Starting on Friday, November 4th, a table has been set up in the school main entrance before and after school to collect your orders. Please place your orders no later than Thursday, November 10th. Your order will be available for pick up on Tuesday, November 22nd. Please do no leave orders with your child's teacher or in the main office. If you cannot get to the chool to hand your order, p;ease e-mail Nikki Leopold at nikkipta@gmail.comto make alternative arrangements. Checks should be made out to PS/IS 217 PTA. Message from Ms. Lauraine: Once again we are very excited to be participating in the can food drive. Last year we donated 200 pounds of food to City Harvest. This year our goal is 1000 pounds of food. The food drive will run from Monday, November 14th through Friday, January 6th. Please bring all canned goods to Ms. Lauraine in the main office. All goods will be donated to City Harvest.
